Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily transportation and dispatch operations, including route planning, load scheduling, driver assignments, and equipment utilization to ensure safe, efficient, and on-time service.
• Monitor driver availability, equipment status, site activity, and operational performance while ensuring compliance with company safety policies and procedures.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers by managing scheduling requests, providing service updates, resolving issues, and delivering outstanding customer service.
• Improve operational efficiency by optimizing routes, minimizing empty miles, monitoring driver hours, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Build strong relationships with drivers by providing clear communication, operational support, and recognition for their contributions.
• Prepare and maintain accurate operational reports, dispatch documentation, equipment tracking records, and other required records.
• Escalate safety concerns, operational issues, and policy violations to leadership while promoting a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1-2 years of administrative and customer service experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time management skills.
• Self-motivated, assertive, and able to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Two years of college coursework.
• Working knowledge of DOT regulations.
• Experience with AS400, Lotus Notes, and 10-key data entry.
